Topanga Days County Fair | Memorial Day Weekend | Saturday – Monday

Kick off Summer at the Iconic Topanga Days County Fair Festival featuring bohemian rock music since 1973 . The weekend festivities are a mainstay event that embody any music lover’s. There’s a belly dancing show by a local teacher, pie eating contests, kids games and so much more. The unique Memorial Day Parade is a highlight for many. This parade is one of the last of its kind, where costumed neighbors toss candy from their homemade floats, kids decorate and ride their bikes or horses, or participants simply walk down the boulevard with the Boy Scouts or the local Tae Kwon Do class – see you at the Topanga County Fair!

Koroneburg Renaissance Festival | Weekends from May to end of June

The Annual Koroneburg Renaissance Festival – Now in its 18th year, the weekend festival again will bring history to colorful life of Cosplay acttors and performs across the grounds of Crossroads Riverview Park in Eastvale, California. The renaissance festival transforms the landscape into a hustling, bustling and a bit bawdy old world village.  Everyone who attends a full day at the Koroneburg Renaissance Festival will meet hundreds of family members living, working and playing in Southern California’s only permanent Renaissance Village.

Garden Grove Strawberry Festival | Memorial Day Weekend | Friday – Monday

The Annual Garden Grove Strawberry Festival will be held Memorial Day Weekend and features Miss Garden Grove Ceremony, Over an Hour Long Street Parade with Southern California Floats and Marching Bands, Carnival Rides, Gourmet Food, Live Music Entertainment and Carnival Rides – The festivities begin Friday, May 22nd at 1:00 PM with games and carnival rides. On Friday, at 6:00 PM the grand opening ceremony commences when the mayor and Miss Garden Grove cut a giant strawberry shortcake and free cake is served to all! The Garden Grove Strawberry Festival 5K Run starts on Saturday at 8:00 AM as does the festival’s Celebrity VIP Breakfast at the Community Center for early risers (open to the public).

Costa Mesa Scottish Fest | Memorial Day Weekend | Saturday & Sunday

The Costa Mesa Scottish Fest is another iconic Orange County Irish, Highlander and Scottish Festival and is the oldest and largest festival of its kind in the Southern California area. This year the 83rd Annual Scottish Fest will feature more vendors, more food, more bands, more Clans and More fun!! The festival occurs annually on Memorial Day Weekend at the Orange County Fairgrounds and Event Center located in Costa Mesa, California. The festival was established in 1932 and was called the Highland Games, a Southern California tradition of Scottish heritage.

Los Angeles Fleet Week

The annual L.A. Fleet Week presents a full week of community events celebrating our nation’s Seaman the week prior to Memorial Day Weekend. The multi-day celebrations culminate with concerts on the pier in San Pedo, California. Since 2011, the USS Iowa (BB-61) museum was inaugurated and begin hosting the Free Los Angeles Navy Days that has grown to one of the largest Fleet weeks in the USA.
 
The Santa Monica Symphony was the first orchestra in the United States to record the First and Second Symphonies of Tchaikovsky – The doors open at 6:30 PM for the Saturday Evening Concerts that begin at 7:30 PM.

Los Angeles County Fair | Memorial Day Weekend | 11:am to 11:pm

Another crowd favorite happening during Memorial Day Weekend is the Los Angeles Country Fair. Southern California celebrates a rich culinary and agriculture heritage at the LA County Fair hosted at the Fairplex in Pomona, California – Enjoy a taste of Gourmet Fair Food, live performances and concerts. The Los Feliz Flea and Vintage Market on the Rooftop | Memorial Day Weekend – Saturday & Sundays throughout the year.

Kick off Summer with a Day or Afternoon at the Los Feliz Flea and Vintage Market, a spectacular Odd Market event for all ages to shop on the Rooftop in the Southern California sun. The exciting all day event is hosted every Saturday and Sunday Rain or Shine!

The exciting event on the Rooftop features over 200 booths, a full convoy of Gourmet Food Trucks, Beer Gardens, Guest DJ’s, Live Bands, creative and talented local artists and musicians. A ton of Free Parking is available in the Garage!

Fiesta Hermosa Beach Free Music Festival | Memorial Day Weekend | Sat – Monday

One of our most loved free Annual events, the Fiesta Hermosa at Hermosa Beach is the ”largest arts & crafts fair in Southern California”. Over 300 artists and crafters are featured, including painters, photographers, ceramicists, jewelers, sculptors, and handcrafters. The festival takes place every Memorial Day and Labor Day Weekend (Saturday, Sunday and Monday) in downtown Hermosa Beach, California. With the ocean as a backdrop, Hermosa Beach is an ideal place for a summer festival with temperatures of 80 degrees and balmy sea breezes. Help Keep Hermosa Beach green by riding your bike, and park in our guarded lot on the sand just south of the Hermosa Pier. Hermosa Cyclery will valet park your bike in their FREE lot, and offer air for tires and on-site diagnostic checkups while you enjoy the festival from 10:AM to 6:30 PM daily.
