This parade is one of the last of its kind, where costumed neighbors toss candy from their homemade floats, kids decorate and ride their bikes or horses, or participants simply walk down the boulevard with the Boy Scouts or the local Tae Kwon Do class – see you at the Topanga County Fair!

Annual Garden Grove Strawberry Festival

The Annual Garden Grove Strawberry Festival will be held Memorial Day Weekend and features Miss Garden Grove Ceremony, Over an Hour Long Street Parade with Southern California Floats and Marching Bands, Carnival Rides, Gourmet Food, Live Music Entertainment and Carnival Rides – The festivities begin Friday, May 22nd at 1:00 PM with games and carnival rides. On Friday, at 6:00 PM the grand opening ceremony commences when the mayor and Miss Garden Grove cut a giant strawberry shortcake and free cake is served to all! The Garden Grove Strawberry Festival 5K Run starts on Saturday at 8:00 AM as does the festival’s Celebrity VIP Breakfast at the Community Center for early risers (open to the public).

The Costa Mesa Scottish Fest is another iconic Orange County Irish, Highlander and Scottish Festival and is the oldest and largest festival of its kind in the Southern California area. This year the 83rd Annual Scottish Fest will feature more vendors, more food, more bands, more Clans and More fun!! The festival occurs annually on Memorial Day Weekend at the Orange County Fairgrounds and Event Center located in Costa Mesa, California. The festival was established in 1932 and was called the Highland Games, a Southern California tradition of Scottish heritage.

Now in its 79th Season, the Santa Monica Symphony presents a full calendar of concerts in the Spring, Fall and Winter each year. Since 1945, the Santa Monica Symphony Orchestra has presented free classical music concerts to audiences of all ages that span the ethnic, economic and social spectrum.
 
The Santa Monica Symphony was the first orchestra in the United States to record the First and Second Symphonies of Tchaikovsky – The doors open at 6:30 PM for the Saturday Evening Concerts that begin at 7:30 PM.

One of our most loved free Annual events, the Fiesta Hermosa at Hermosa Beach is the ”largest arts & crafts fair in Southern California”. Over 300 artists and crafters are featured, including painters, photographers, ceramicists, jewelers, sculptors, and handcrafters. The festival takes place every Memorial Day and Labor Day Weekend (Saturday, Sunday and Monday) in downtown Hermosa Beach, California. With the ocean as a backdrop, Hermosa Beach is an ideal place for a summer festival with temperatures of 80 degrees and balmy sea breezes. Help Keep Hermosa Beach green by riding your bike, and park in our guarded lot on the sand just south of the Hermosa Pier. Hermosa Cyclery will valet park your bike in their FREE lot, and offer air for tires and on-site diagnostic checkups while you enjoy the festival from 10:AM to 6:30 PM daily.
