Wednesday thru Saturday
Four days of jazz in downtown Ballard – The Ballard Jazz Festival began in 2003 as a joint venture between Seattle’s Origin Records and the Ballard Chamber of Commerce to create a community-building cultural event and a showcase for distinctive Northwest jazz artists. In 2007, Origin Records created Origin Music Productions, LLC to carry on the festival and was subsequently awarded the 2007 “Great Neighbor, Great Business Award” by Home Street Bank for its community-building work. Festival performances were named “Northwest Concert of the Year” in 2006, 2008 & 2014 at the Earshot Jazz Awards and the festival continues to be a highlight on Seattle’s live jazz calendar.
