The Pacific Northwest loves winter, and each year beginning in January, thousands of people travel to Leavenworth and celebrate winter’s bounty with a Bavarian Ice Festival and the Winter Karneval at the Village of Lights is still dressed in over half a million twinkling lights and this weekend is a flurry of frosty frivolity. Come celebrate winter with us!
Join in the fun and experience a stunning backdrop of over a half million brilliant lights, the majestic Cascade Mountains frosted with snow and a captivating Bavarian village filled with fun and German tradition dating back to the thirteenth century, commonly referred to as ‘Fasching’. You can expect to see a blend of familiar activities, like ice carving and fireworks every. weekend, along with new entertainment that will be spread out during the rest of the month, making Leavenworth the perfect winter destination all month long. The Village Lights are turned-on seven (7) days a week through February.
