The Santa Monica Airport Artwalk takes place between 2800 to 3200 Airport Avenue and brings together Southern Californians of all ages with fun social activities while experiencing the many forms of visual aesthetics presented by artists through live performances, video, photography, landscapes, arts and crafts demonstrations. Everyone at the festival who explores the studios will discover how the use of unique mediums and techniques interact with different surfaces to create one of a kind collectable artwork, sculptures, clothing, food and more. Speaking of food, the gourmet Food Trucks will be located between 300 and 3026 Airport Avenue and casual dining at the Spitfire Grill will keep you tummy happy throughout the festival.

12:00–4:00pm : Museum of Flying Fun – Museum of Flying, 3100 Airport Ave
Stump the Artist. Stop by and meet renowned Aviation Artist Mike Machat who will talk about the Museum’s new mural Record Breakers which he’ll be painting over the next few months. Machat also gives visitors the opportunity to play Stump the Artist. Give Mike the name of any plane and he will draw it from memory. Take a one-of-a-kind piece of art home with you.
Attendance limited to 100 people at a time – Museum closes at 4pm. Last entry at 3pm.
12:00–3:00pm : Tour the Airport’s Demonstration Gardens
Explore the Airport’s three different garden designs featuring sustainable landscapes, including an eco-friendly lawn alternative, a vegetable garden and a private sanctuary – Airport Demonstration Garden, 3200 Airport Ave
12:00–1:00pm : ArtChalk with Airport Artist Laraine Mestman.
Participate in a community chalk mural and draw your favorite part of the ArtWalk – 3000 Airport Ave, Studio G
12:00–1:00pm : Papermoon Photographs. Get your photo taken inside an old-fashioned

Raku Firing Demonstrations. SMC Ceramic Arts, 2800 Airport Ave

Artist Jackie Nach. Draw onto paper that prints the image on the reverse side then further hand
embellish. For ages 12 – 120. Three participants at a time. Sign up at Jackie’s studio during the
ArtWalk. Workshop is one hour – SM Art Studios, 3026 Airport Ave, Studio 24
12:30–1:10pm, 2:30–3:10pm, 4:15–4:55pm : Brasilidade. This 5-piece band
brings the warmth and energy of Brazil, playing samba, Brazilian music with African roots, and pagode,
a subgenre of samba straight from the rhythms of Rio. Various locations. Visit the Info Booth for details.
