Main Street, Santa Monica is bringing back its Open Street series for three weekends starting this summer on August 12- 13, September 9-10 and October 21-22. Transforming the street into a free community festival with al fresco dining, live music, local vendors, activities for kids, and different programming each month from Strand Street to Pier Avenue!  Enjoy  some of California’s freshest product at the Santa Monica Main Street Farmers Market  occurring year round from 8:30 am to 1:30 PM on Sundays during, between and after the Open Main Street Festival.

Kids Corner

Open Main Street presents the Kids Corner with special programming just for kids of all ages including musical story time, soccer, face painting and sensory stations to keep even the youngest attendees engaged. Rock climbing, performances from local youth organizations and classic games like giant Jenga and Connect 4 are fun and free for all ages.

Annual Festival of Chariots Parade – Sunday, August 6th | 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM

The Annual festival of the Chariots Parade will begin by the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium and head south on Main Street from Pico to the end of the city limits before continuing on to Venice Beach. The festival features three fully decorated four-story tall chariots leading a colorful parade through Main Street in route toward Venice Beach where the Festival of the Chariots includes a free feast for thousands, free entertainment and exhibits and booths all bringing together

Day of the Dog Festival – Saturday, September 9th

A special event for animal lovers featuring Canines will land on the Open Main Street of Santa Monica on Saturday, September 9th!
The Day Of The Dog Festival is a celebration of the extraordinary bond between humans and canines. This event is a not-to-be-missed opportunity for dog lovers and pet enthusiasts to meet-up with local and national pet professionals, and discover the latest and greatest products from California’s leading pet companies. This festival has family fun activities for all ages to enjoy while shop with an exciting lineup of events throughout the day with highlights including a Pool Party with DJ and Canine Cabanas, Dog Races, Foam Party for Pups, Doggy Brunch, Super-Hero Photo Booth, Yoga with Adoptable Puppies & more fun for you and your dog!

The best part is, this event is FREE to attend! Day of the Dog Festival will take place on Main Street in Santa Monica (between Ocean Park & Strand – streets will be closed) on Saturday, September 9th from 12pm – 5pm
